I've always been interested in animal care from a very young age and have had all sorts of animals from mice and rats to dogs and chickens.
I have an NC in animal care and have worked at Kinaldie boarding kennels from the age of 13 (2009) and I am currently doing a dog training course.
I help out with the Administration, along with caring for the animals.
I have a diploma in canine behaviour from the Centre of Excellence. At home I have two rabbits, a cat and a border collie called Mylo.
My role is to recruit new volunteers to help with the walking of the dogs etc.
I have no formal qualifications working with animals. But I do have 3 cats, 2 dogs, guinea pig that were adopted from the ARC, and a hamster.
Secretary /Kennel Manager/Fundraiser
I have always loved animals from an early age. When I left school I started working with animals, mice, rabbits, rats, pigs and sheep.
I now work at Kinaldie Boarding Kennels, mainly with the dogs but also any animal we take in whilst the owners are on holiday.
I enjoy coming up with fun ideas to raise money, with the help of others. Our open days have been very successful and great fun. I feel I have put my knowledge of animal care and running a kennel to good use here.
I help respond to all of the messages that come through about our animals.
I don't have any professional experience, or qualifications looking after animals, but I do my best to care for all the animals that come into the centre.
I have had dogs, hamsters and several goldfish :)
